Leadership: Are You a Leader or a Follower? Answer These 7 Questions

The leadership quiz

This Leadership question is often followed with the “I’m a leader” answer but the real truth is that
leadership is both. A true leader knows when to lead and when to follow. A true leader has a certain discernment that allows him or her, an intuitive perspective.

Are you the leader that will do great things and help people succeed in this new economy? Does your leadership rival others? Do people want to work with you because you are the leader they trust and want to follow?

Answer these 7 questions and grade yourself on your leadership abilities

In your leadership style, do you use “Possibility Thinking”?

I am open to possibilities and listen to my team’s ideas, concerns, problems and intuition. I utilize my leadership and their input to help me with my decision making. When seeking solutions, I invite others ideas, leadership and perspectives to the table. I understand that 2 heads are better than one when solution seeking.
Grade yourself on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being highest.)

Do you lead by example?

I enjoy working as hard if not harder than my team. I make sure that I demonstrate my willingness to see our team achieve our goals. I set the example of our work ethic in our department so that my team knows I too am a team player. Grade yourself on a scale of 1 to 10

Do you have strong Self-Command?

I don’t let outside things, such as, news and challenges determine my feelings, leadership or actions. I tell myself uplifting, miraculous and empowering thoughts everyday. Do you look for opportunities to praise your team?

I spend more leadership time looking at what my team does correctly then I do looking for what they do incorrectly. I congratulate them and tell them that I am proud of the work they produce. I make certain my team knows that their contribution is valuable. I look for opportunities that allow a worker to feel proud and important. Grade yourself on a scale of 1 to 10

Are you ethical 100 percent of the time?

In my leadership I understand that in order for my team to trust me, I must be ethical with them. I do not lie to them. I do not steal their ideas and call them mine. I do not sabotage their work efforts. I give them the tools they need to succeed at their task. Grade yourself on a scale of 1 to 10

Do you have an open door policy?

In my leadership my team has access to me everyday. My team knows they can come to my office and speak with me during work hours and I will help them find solutions to their concerns.

Total your score. 7 will be the lowest score and 70 will be the highest score. You can look at this and determine where you would like to improve your leadership skills.

Do You Confuse Who You are, with What You Have Been Through?

Self-sabotage without knowing it?

Some people let their past plague their future and this robs them of experiencing the success they envision for themselves. Sadly, most people don’t even know they are doing this. Many people rely on their past to guide their future decisions and this can sabotage their efforts because they are not their past. Still, many people think that their past equals their future. This is okay, if your past is the future you want to continue in, however, if it is not, then you may be sabotaging yourself without you knowing it.

People who are new to learning the power of self-command are often confused about what they have been through and who they are. Some people think they are a product of what they have been though. I don’t buy that. I believe I am a product of my thinking and my future creations stem from the thoughts I use in my mindset tool box right now.

You want to create a better life, have deeper relationships, more money, more freedom and a happier disposition and you go “looking” for that. You often think, “There must be something wrong with me and I have to fix it or I won’t/can’t have everything I want.” You think the life you want eludes you because you have not “fixed” a broken part of you.
